The legacy of Valiants hockey from 2001 to today.
Manhattanville Valiants Men's Hockey is an NCAA Division III program based in Purchase, New York. Founded in the early 2000s, the program was built from the ground up by a group of dedicated student-athletes and coaches who believed a small liberal arts college in Westchester County could compete at a high level on the ice. What started as an ambitious idea quickly grew into a program with real identity and staying power.
The Valiants originally competed in the ECAC West conference before transitioning to the United Colleges Hockey Conference (UCHC), where they face rivals from across the Northeast each season. Despite the demands of a Division III schedule, the program has consistently attracted talented players from junior hockey leagues, prep schools, and high school programs throughout the United States and Canada.
Off the ice, the program has produced alumni who have gone on to build careers in finance, coaching, business, technology, real estate, and entrepreneurship. The rink at Manhattanville was more than a place to play -- it was where friendships were forged, discipline was tested, and a competitive culture took shape. That culture is what sets Valiants hockey apart. It is a community that extends well beyond graduation, connecting generations of players who share the same experience and the same pride in wearing the jersey.
